Charity
Glossop Ladies Circle try to our bit to raise funds for charities both locally and nationally. A regular fund raiser is Bonfire at Manor Park, where we sell Mulled wine and sweets. Some of us have run the Race for Life and we try and help out at the actual races too.
You can see from the photographs above how we enjoyed raising funds. Below is a list of some of the many charities who have benefited from our fundraising in recent years. Much of the money raised goes to local charities. We have to say, we have enjoyed every minute of it.

Area 2 which Glossop Ladies Circle is part of, is organising a big fashion show with Marks & Spencer in Macclesfield, we are very exiced about this and hope to raise enough funds to bouild further 2 toilets.
In 1958 NALC voted to adopt The Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now merged with Cancer Research Campaign and known as Cancer Research UK) as a national charity. In 2006/07 alone NALC was proud to present a cheque to Cancer Research UK for over £28,000, also a cheque for over £17,000 for DeBRA, which was the National President's chosen charity for the year.
Circlers raise these funds in a variety of interesting and active ways by means of events such as sponsored abseils, long-distance bike rides, assault courses etc.
